Open the briefs workspace and choose Templates to manage reusable intake forms. A brief template describes the questions you ask; it isn’t the same as a workflow template that creates production stages.
Prepare the questions
Section titled “Prepare the questions”Create or open an editable template. Give it a useful name, organize the sections, and add the available field types. Set question labels, hints, choices, and required answers where appropriate.
Preview the client form before sending it. Ask for information that affects production: intended result, audience, deliverables, schedule, references, and constraints. Avoid asking clients to paste passwords or private credentials into a brief.
Choose a language
Section titled “Choose a language”Select the client-facing language. The template builder supports English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese translations. Review translated labels and choices before reuse; a saved translation can be edited without recreating the form.
Translation and other AI actions can have a displayed credit cost. Check the current quote before starting; don’t assume every edit triggers another translation charge.
Send and follow up
Section titled “Send and follow up”Create the client brief from the template, check the recipient and link expiry, then send or copy the intake link. When the response needs clarification, use Ask Client, select the relevant field if useful, and choose Send questions.
Wait for the client’s response, then review the actual answers. A suggested production plan can contain tasks, content modes, deadlines, and dependencies; edit it before approving and creating the project.
Attachments and reuse
Section titled “Attachments and reuse”Client brief file uploads have a separate plan requirement; see Intelligent briefs. A template with a file question doesn’t give an otherwise ineligible workspace upload access.
Before sharing a template publicly or reusing it for another client, remove client-specific names, references, and private instructions. Changes to a reusable template aren’t a reason to assume a previously sent brief has changed; inspect that brief’s client form.
