Stago DocsOpen the link sent by your production team. A Client Portal gives you a view of the material shared with you; it doesn’t require you to navigate the team’s internal project workspace.
The plan labels on this guide refer to the portal owner’s workspace. You don’t need your own paid Stago plan merely to use the client’s review link.
Enter and find the material
Section titled “Enter and find the material”If the link asks for a password or email, follow those prompts using the details intended for you. Open the relevant project and visible stage, then select the file, track, image, or document version you need to review.
An expired or revoked link needs a replacement from the team. Don’t keep trying a different person’s link; it may provide different permissions.
Review different materials
Section titled “Review different materials”- Video: play or seek to the relevant time, then add timestamp feedback.
- Audio: listen to the solo track or choose the intended item in a track list.
- Images: choose the thumbnail, enlarge it, and use an annotation if available.
- Documents: read the PDF preview, download Word when permitted, or review the shared document in its editor view.
Use Comments to explain a requested change. Replies keep a discussion together. Check the selected version so the team knows which draft you mean.
Make a decision
Section titled “Make a decision”Choose Approve when the selected work meets the agreed requirements. Choose Request Changes when another iteration is needed and that action is available. A comment, a reaction, or a favorite doesn’t make the approval decision for you.
If the team asks you to supply material, use the visible upload stage and its upload control. Upload is separate from the ability to review or download.
A control or project is missing
Section titled “A control or project is missing”The link may intentionally permit viewing only. Ask the team to check the link’s permissions and the project’s or stage’s visibility. Approved work can also be read-only.
For a download you need, ask the team to enable download or provide the agreed delivery file. Don’t assume an embedded preview is the original-quality delivery.
