Open Comments from the stage or review you are discussing. Before writing, check the project, stage, selected version, and selected gallery item or audio track.
Choose the context
Section titled “Choose the context”| Material | Useful comment context |
|---|---|
| Video or solo audio | The relevant playback time |
| Gallery or track list | The selected image or track |
| Collaborative document | Selected text or the document discussion |
| Uploaded PDF or Word | The selected draft, with a page or heading in your message |
| Link collection | The selected link or the stage discussion |
Write the requested change and why it matters. “At 00:24, lower the music so the sentence is clear” is easier to act on than “Fix audio”. Add a drawing or bounding-box annotation when the available viewer supports it.
Replies and mentions
Section titled “Replies and mentions”Reply to an existing comment to keep the exchange together. Use @mentions to identify someone in the available member list. Delivery depends on that person’s access and notification settings; mentioning someone doesn’t invite them into a project.
Use the All, Unresolved, and Mentions filters where available. Emoji reactions acknowledge feedback without adding another reply.
Resolve, edit, or remove
Section titled “Resolve, edit, or remove”Resolve a thread when its request has been handled. Reopen it if the issue returns. Edit or delete your own comment using its controls when your permissions permit it.
Resolving a comment doesn’t approve the draft, and approving a draft doesn’t rewrite its discussion. Make the explicit review decision separately.
Internal discussion and client feedback
Section titled “Internal discussion and client feedback”Use the internal-comment control when the team needs a team-only discussion. Before sharing, check the actual client view and keep sensitive personal or account information out of feedback. Portal visitors can comment only when their link, stage, and review state allow it.
If feedback seems missing, clear the filters and check the version and item selection. A comment on one image or draft doesn’t belong to every version in the project.
