An intelligent brief turns client intake into a proposed production plan. The owner reviews the answers and pipeline before creating a project.
- Prepare questions
- Collect client answers
- Review and approve
- Create the project
Create and send
Section titled “Create and send”Open the briefs workspace, create a new brief, and choose an appropriate brief template. Set the title, project type, owner, client details, language, and link expiry, then inspect the client form.
Send or copy the generated intake link. The client can open that link without joining the internal project. Explain what information you need and when you expect the completed response.
Client progress and attachments
Section titled “Client progress and attachments”The client fills the form and submits it when ready. Saved progress depends on the device/browser and the form’s current state; don’t treat a local draft as an owner-reviewed submission.
File-attachment questions need an eligible owning workspace. Ask for ordinary production references rather than credentials or private access tokens.
Review the submission
Section titled “Review the submission”When processing is complete and the brief is Ready, read the actual answers, missing-information signals, and suggested pipeline. Check content types and modes, deadlines, dependencies, client visibility, revision settings, and approval requirements.
Edit, reorder, add, or remove proposed stages before approval. Upload stages can produce their runtime review stages later; don’t add duplicate reviews merely because they aren’t yet live project stages.
Clarify, approve, and convert
Section titled “Clarify, approve, and convert”Use Ask Client when an answer needs clarification. Select a related field when useful, write the questions, and choose Send questions. Review the response before continuing.
Approve the plan when ready, then choose Create project. Inspect the created project’s owner and stages. Editing an approved plan returns it to review so its changed version can be approved again.
Find a brief later
Section titled “Find a brief later”Use the brief registry’s search, status filters, and sorting. Needs action, Waiting, Projects, and Archived describe different queues. Check the status reference if a brief hasn’t reached the next step.
