Reuse workflow and stage templates

Available onBaseProBusiness

Templates save a repeatable production structure. Use them for work with familiar steps, such as a podcast review, a client film, or a design approval process.

Open the project creation form and choose an available workflow template instead of a blank workflow. Inspect its stages and content modes in the preview, then create the project.

Check the new project’s assignees, approvers, deadline dates, upload/review stages, and client visibility. A template provides structure; it doesn’t know every client’s requirements or every member’s availability.

Open Templates in the main navigation and choose the creation or edit control for your workspace. Set Template name, description, and category, then build the pipeline using the stage library and editor controls.

For each stage, choose whether it is a task or content upload, define the content mode, and decide whether approval is required. Use relative timing where the editor provides it so the template can be reused for a new project date.

Save the template and verify its preview. System or shared templates can be read-only; use an editable copy when the controls permit copying, rather than expecting to change the shared original.

Keep reusable instructions free of client-specific secrets. Review any public/shared setting before saving a template that contains private descriptions or references.

Editing a template doesn’t mean every existing project made from it should change. Inspect and edit an existing project’s stages directly when that is your intention.

AI assistance can suggest a pipeline, but review content types, dependencies, and revision settings before saving. AI operations can require credits separately from template eligibility.

If templates are unavailable, check the owning workspace’s plan. A blank project and manual stages remain a separate workflow; see create a project.
